Eye lab
I'm very happy with how all of you worked during the eye lab. I hope that you learned a good deal about this topic. Like I said, if you can recite all the lyrics in a song, rattle off everything about the new PSP, or name the titles of all of Hillary Duff's movies (who doesn't, by the way) shouldn't you know something about the eye considering you have two of them?
Lab is due Tuesday. It's not a formal lab. Just do the organizer and the discussion questions.
Cheers.

June 14th
On to the eye.
Here's a link for the ministry of education's grading scale. Some of you asked me for it. http://ca.geocities.com/cherubichomer/hillcrest/m192-94.pdf
Done.

Report Cards
I will begin entering data for report cards on Tuesday. If you have any outstanding materials that need to be marked, you should get them in by Tuesday. If you are unhappy with any of your assignment marks - and this includes the biome project mark - you may redo assignments and homework sheets that I will remark. Unfortunately, these have to be in by Tuesday. If you need to know what homework and assignments you have outstanding for me, email me and I'll send you your profile for both math and science.

Week of June 6th
I handed you grades for your project yesterday. The concept map and the project will be the determining assessments for your grade concerning biomes and ecology. Friday, we talked about the human population, including the concerns of a growing World population and what the positives and negatives are. There were four hand-outs. They are due on Monday for assessment on the learning outcome regarding population. Next class, it's about pollution. If we can get done that, we move onto plant and animal succession and then the senses, specifically the eye.
Handouts are available on the column on the right.
Cheers,
Mr.Jay

Up to June 8th
So, division 18's landfill labs are due tomorrow. Division 17's are due Friday. I'll have marks for you all tomorrow. Make sure that you pick up your homework. Please, pick it up and reduce the amount of paper up front.
The hamster-gerbil-rat thing will be going to someone's home tomorrow. If you want it, we'll hold a lottery tomorrow. Come and get a card for the draw.
I still need works consulted for the biome projects. If you don't get them in to me tomorrow, I'm going to mark it zero. I need to get grades out for report cards by Monday.
We'll get to disect the eyes if we can get through the last material for ecology. We'll have an assessment for population and pollution by Wednesday.
Mr.Jay
